Busy Ramp On Hutchinson River Parkway Will Be Closed For Parts Of Two Days

A Westchester Avenue ramp to the Hutchinson River Parkway is scheduled for an upcoming closure, the New York State Department of Transportation has announced.

Motorists should be advised that the eastbound ramp from Westchester Avenue to northbound Hutchinson River Parkway (Exit 9N) in Harrison will be closed on Monday, June 3 and Tuesday, June 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. During this time, crews will be performing construction activities, weather permitting.

The Department advises motorists to follow the posted detour and plan for potential delays. Use caution while traveling through work zone areas and be aware of all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are also reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Those with two or more convictions for speeding violations in a work zone could face consequences including license suspension, in accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005.
